You can always keep going with the modified Sun Salutation variation where you drop down onto your knees, as the full version is fairly advanced and takes a lot of practice.
PRIMARY MUSCLES STRETCHED
- Quads and hip flexors.
- This one is great to do at the end of a riding day to stretch out the quads and release the psoas.
- In Half-Reclining Hero, you can support yourself on your hands or your elbows instead of coming all the way down to the mat. You could also put a cushion under your right hip (when the left knee is bent) to level your hips. If you feel compression at your lower back, lie back on a couple of pillows, positioned lengthwise along your spine.
